BLANK CANVAS
Have you ever seen an abstract painting? Do
you ever ask yourself how the process is done? Whether the paint was just splashed
everywhere or maybe a plan was followed. Whether the painting has something to
tell or is it just something that plays with your eyes.
Imagine entering an art gallery- filled with
all sorts of masterpieces. The hallways are packed with superb sculptures,
precious photographs, and priceless paintings. As you walk, you stop by this
particular canvas. It’s abstract, but it seems like it’s not yet done- like a
story is bound to be told.
It all started as a blank canvas. That
canvas first saw the color blue, and that canvas learned to be calm.
Then, it saw a bright yellow shade, which
taught him to always be happy and stay positive.
It saw a color red, and it reminds him to be
passionate and keep spreading love.
She
noticed that there’s a blank spot that there’s something missing, and there
comes the color green that gives him a new beginning, not just green but with
orange, that gives him energy, happiness and vitality
The canvas met a new color, the purple was
splashed and reminds him to be creative
at all times and it also means Royalty, and wealth
This incomplete canvass is yet to be
continued by an artist, and shall encounter more shades in the future. I see
myself as that blank canvas. So to my artists, my teachers, thank you showing
me so many shades, so many colors. Thank you for teaching me that life isn’t
always bold and bright, but there shall be a time that we will see darkness.
And though I am still in the middle of being painted, I would not be this far
into the painting if it weren’t for you.
